A pivotal moment came in the late 1990s, when a young technician, Justin Crooks, presented Bruce Devine with a simple napkin sketch, as an affordable, USB-powered spectrum analyzer without a built-in screen, designed to leverage the power of an external PC. That idea became reality in February 2010 with the launch of the USB-SA44 spectrum analyzer—marking the birth of the Signal Hound product line.
