Based on the Airoha AG3352 platform, the LC76G can simultaneously receive and process signals from all constellations (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS), which combined with SBAS support and significantly increases the number of visible satellites and improves positioning accuracy. The LC76G module can receive signals from 47 satellites and achieve a positioning accuracy of 1.5 m (CEP50 in the open sky), which is 40% better than previous generations of devices.
Options for low-cost and low-power GNSS applications
Available in a cost-optimized version as well as a low-power version, the Quectel LC76G consumes less than 9mA at 3V with all 4 constellations enabled, reducing the required power by 72% more than previously possible. This makes the LC76G extremely attractive to ultra-low power, battery-powered GNSS devices such as personal trackers, wildlife trackers, portable container trackers, and many traditional markets.
With an internal SAW filter and built-in LNA, the LC76G can be connected directly to a passive patch antenna and provides filtering of unwanted interference, providing excellent performance.
The integrated AGNSS EPO™ technology supported by the LC76G GNSS module reduces the time to first fix (TTFF) with a hot start of less than 1 second, a hot start of 2 seconds, while a cold start allows accurate tracking points to be obtained within 15 seconds. Fast GNSS fixes enable accurate positioning and navigation services anytime, anywhere with a lower power budget than previously possible.
While EPO requires manual loading of predicted orbits, the LC76G also supports EASY™ (an integrated support system) where information about predicted orbits is collected directly from satellites and provides an accelerated correction of up to 3 days. Both EPO and Easy™ are available per constellation, allowing you to speed up TTFF and reduce dependency on any constellation. With GLP technology, the LC76G can adaptively adjust the on/off time based on environmental and traffic conditions to achieve a balance between positioning accuracy and power consumption. With an LCC form factor and ultra-compact dimensions of 10.1×9.7×2.4 mm, the LC76G is compatible with other industry solutions as well as legacy Quectel L76 and L76-LB modules, ensuring a smooth migration of existing designs to the latest GNSS technology with ultra-low power consumption.
Its enhanced performance makes the LC76G ideal for consumer and industrial applications, while its ultra-low power consumption makes it the best solution for power-sensitive applications such as portable devices.
